He is usually a badger, as it seems to be his favorite form, but also used the forms of a number of different animals (ranging from an ant to a whale), a few different people, and even a small volcano. At the beginning his abilities were sex-related, meaning he would shapeshift into any creature he had sex with, but in the recent years he gained the ability to change his form at will (although he briefly lost control over it during the Shattering, a worldwide event which trapped each creature in Foon in their own small shard of reality). To pass the time, Chunt runs for Nibblebottom's town daddy (a position similar to mayor) and opens a black-and-whitesmith shop (as opposed to a blacksmith, a reference to his badger fur being black and white).Ĭhunt is a shapeshifter, which means he's taken a number of different forms over the years. He struggled with a life-threatening curse for a time, and in an attempt to cure it he (or rather Arnie acting on his behalf) inadvertently killed the king of the Northeast, Albain Belaroth.Īfter Usidore's duel with the Dark Lord ends with the evil wizard getting trapped in the body of one of his minions, Chunt helps Usidore to keep this fact a secret - as it's believed that the Dark Lord is dead - by trapping him in the basement of a place they rent in a little town called Nibblebottom. He used to own a restaurant called Chu Chu's Chow, and after the Dark Lord took over the town of Hogsface, he joined his forces for some time to avoid being thrown into a dungeon along with Arnie and Usidore. He's been friends with Usidore for many years and was the first creature that Arnie encountered after falling into the land of Foon.īesides his role as a podcast host, Chunt does a number of other things.
He was born to Eleanor the manticore and Hungho the hunger ghost, one of the rare combinations that produce shapeshifter offspring. Chunt is one of the three hosts of the Hello from the Magic Tavern Podcast, along with Arnie Niekamp and Usidore.
